Testimonials

Dr. Aimee Casimis has helped me so much throughout my therapy journey, she made me feel so comfortable. I was able to open myself up and be vulnerable enough to allow her to begin her amazing work. She has taught me DBT tools such as mindfulness that has helped me tremendously. Aimee truly cares about her clients, as if we are family. Anytime I had a crisis big or small she has been there to guide me though whatever was going on. I would recommend Aimee a million times over to anyone in need of therapy services.

Natasha,

Aimee has been my therapist for the past three years. She always gets to my root issues and offers real solutions in the forms of handouts and unconditional support. I Love Aimee!

Donna,

Aimee noticed/put together in just a few sessions what past therapist didn’t see at all in the entre duration of my time with them-periods spanning anywhere from 6-18 months. Together Aimee and I have pinpointed several specific issues-it’s helpful to have a few things you can recognize and work on as you go about your life outside of sessions-and she’s given me LOTS of tools to help me do the work. I have seen ENORMOUS improvement in my day-to-day and moment-to-moment experience of life.

Ilana,

My sessions with Dr. Aimee have literally saved my life! I have been able to completely transform my thought process and truly heal in my broken places. It definitely hasn’t been easy and there have been times where I wanted to give up but I trusted the process. Dr. Aimee didn’t give up on me and for that I am truly grateful! She has anointing like no other! I would highly recommend.

Shanee,

I have been meeting with Aimee for a few years now. She has been instrumental in my spiritual, emotional and psychological growth. The advice and guidance she’s given me throughout our time together has helped me to be a stronger man in relationships as a husband, friend and son.

Garrett,

Have Questions

The initial appointment consists of completion on the intake documentation, the Bio-Psychosocial Assessment that collects background information and the formation of individualized treatment plan goals. Expectations for treatment frequency, modality and recommendations for resources or referrals will be given.

The treatment of children and adolescents during the clinical practice differs due to the need for parent/caregiver involvement which is critical to the process. The parent/caregiver will be present at the time of intake to sign off on the intake forms. Confidentiality will be explained as well as the limits of confidentiality to be both the minor and the parent/caregiver. Treatment is designed to be strength based and solution focused and is found to be most effective when collaborative. Play therapy and creative therapeutic interventions are often utilized such as art, music, poetry and narrative therapy that help to meet developmental appropriateness.

DBT which stands for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is an evidenced based cognitive and behavioral modality used to help clients with Borderline Personality Disorder as well as others who are looking for a specific set of tools to manage difficult emotions and relational dynamics. DBT is comprised of four parts: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Distress Tolerance and Emotion Regulation. It is a specific, organized modality that is provided in the form of individual therapy, group/skills training and crisis counseling. DBT in this practice is provided for those who meet criteria and are able to work within an organized modality. DBT is implemented by utilizing Marsha Linehan’s DBT Skills Training workbook and skills are taught and practiced within session. Homework is assigned in between sessions for further application and is a vital part of the process. It is a Phenomenal, life changing treatment and I have been Intensely trained to ensure compliance.

The treatment modalities that are offered in this practice are: CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) MCBT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), MI (Motivational Interviewing) Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy and Psychodynamic Theory.

Supervision towards licensure is a process whereby weekly/biweekly time is coordinated in person or via Telehealth as a means to ensure compliance with ethical practices in relation to the licensing board under the Department of Health for mental health practices. Case conceptualization, guidance, clinical feedback and recomendations are provided. Assistance with studying for the licensing exam can be offered during this time. To begin, a consultation is scheduled to ensure that there is the best fit and a supervision contract is reviewed and completed prior to start.
